The Boneyard!

Angela and I have been wanting to arrange a photo shoot in Vegas for some time.  Well, finally, we carved out enough time to actually take some time off!  So, what do we do in our time off?  Shoot!  Yeah, it’s a passion to our cores.  Anyway, we spent some time in Vegas and more time touring through eastern California in a rented convertible Mini Cooper.  Red of course as it is my favorite color.  LOL

One of the plans was to get into the Neon Museum to arrange a shoot with the retired Las Vegas neon signs.  It’s been done before, but of course, we put our creativity hats on and got to work on a concept.  I worked on the lighting arrangements and Ang worked on wardrobe, and modeling of course!  She’s my fav!

So, with gear and wardrobe in hand and an extra checked bag to carry everything, we Jet Blue’d to Vegas.  Now this wasn’t an ordinary shoot mind you.  Angela made these wonderful Vegas showgirl costumes, replete with top hat, fishnets, shoes, and jewelry.  I brought the small light kit and improvised to achieve what I envisioned in my head.  We actually had to rent the place for an hour just to shoot there in this way (i.e.: free to roam without a chapperone).  Although it wasn’t cheap, it was definitely worth the price of admission because we got these absolutely fabulous shots!

All of these shots, as well as a variety of unpublished ones were accomplished within one hour.  That means, open the gates, scope out the two lots, set up the gear and shoot.  All in all, a very productive hour!  Oh, and Ang is pretty happy too!

So, now it is back to work and time to scheme the next photography outing!!

If anyone is interested in how we did these, feel free to comment.  :~)
